Coventry Music played at St Mary's Guildhall today to mark this special day
Beautiful music was played alongside speeches and opportunities for reflection at St Mary's Guildhall this lunchtime. The event was to mark Holocaust Memorial Day commemorated on the 27 January every year to remember the six million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust, alongside millions of other people killed under Nazi Persecution. The 27th January marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. The day also commemorates genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. The theme for this year is 'Ordinary People'.
