Registration has closed to join the NYO workshop but tickets are still available to see an amazing concert.

On Friday 4 January the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain – the world’s greatest orchestra of teenagers – will be bringing a performance and a day of free events for young people to Warwick Arts Centre, and I strongly encourage you to be there!

Entitled State of Flux, the concert explores music inspired by human responses to a changing modern world. You’ll hear Rick Dior’s Science Fiction which is packed with percussive beats and bendy electronics and accompanies a film montage of classic movie scenes. You’ll also hear John Adams’ Doctor Atomic Symphony which captures the iconic events in the lead-up to the first test of the atomic bomb, and Sibelius’s awesome second symphony.
