Schools and organisations - we need your help to shape the future of vocal provision in the city. Please complete our short survey and share your views.

The survey has been created by Sound Connections, a music education charity who are supporting Coventry Music Hub to review their vocal strategy. The survey should take 10 - 15 minutes to complete.

Survey for schools: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Q3TN2MF

Survey for organisations: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/RS6YNVD

The purpose of the Sound Connections review into vocal work in Coventry is to establish the following:

  • Better understand the needs of the young people of the City
  • Find out more about what vocal opportunities are available via partners and the wider community
  • Develop a broad vocal offer built on high quality vocal music-making

This research will establish, through interviews, surveys and focus groups what is already on offer and what hidden gems are available in the city. It will help develop a needs analysis of the gaps and weaknesses of the vocal offer and compare this to the needs and interests of the young people and schools. This will build on the recent 2017-2020 Singing Strategy and broaden the approach to a wider and more inclusive vocal strategy.

The resulting action plan will put in place a series of recommendations to deliver an exciting and broad vocal offer for the young people of Coventry through the Music Education Hub partnership.

By completing this survey you will be helping us shape the new vocal strategy for Coventry. Your responses and comments are important and will be used to create a new plan that will meet the needs of everyone engaged in singing across the county.

The deadline for completing this survey is 5pm on Friday 14th May. Many thanks for your participation.
