Welsh National Opera

This interactive show from Welsh National Opera is designed to keep children entertained during lockdown; a new episode of Play Opera comes out every Saturday morning at 10am!

Geared towards young children, this interactive show helps children discover the many different elements of an opera performance, with educational aspects around singing, classical music, and even back stage elements such as costume and design. The shows include musical performances by members of WNO, fun and historical facts, teach-and-sing songs, weekly challenges, and more. The audience also gets to meet members from behind the scenes, so that they really get to understand an opera company from the inside out.

A new episode of Play Opera comes out every Saturday morning at 10am, and can be viewed at www.wno.org.uk/playopera or on YouTube by searching “WNO Play Opera.” Upcoming shows include: Backstage at the Wales Millennium Centre; Humperdinck’s famous opera, Hansel and Gretel, and Orchestra in Film.

There are four episodes that have already aired and they are viewable on the web pages above. Why not tune in this Saturday at 10am to learn more about WNO and all things opera?
