We are disappointed to hear about the decision by the government to impose another lockdown as we know how much everyone wants to get back to normal as soon as possible, however it is important we all follow the governemt guidelines so we can achieve this as soon as we can. None of our current provision will be affected by the new guidelines, and everything can continue as normal. Watch this space for further updates

We would like to help at out at this worrying time in any way we can. See here for ways we can help everyone and especially schools and educational settings.

We appreciate that we are in an extremely difficult situation both within schools and across the country and we all will be working in a unique way for the foreseeable future.

We will be providing free online resources for all pupils in the City, and beyond, via our website, interactive digital learning via our partner Charanga, tutorials and other resources through our YouTube channel and that of West Midlands Music.

As most schools will remain open to support key workers, and if your current SLA is part of your envisaged programme, Coventry Music will continue to support (subject to our own staff availability). Also, if your school is open and you would like any tutors, resources or instruments please do get in contact and we will endeavour to assist.

We are also working with colleagues around the country and within the council to look at online learning options for instrumental tuition.

16th March 2020

Following advice from Public Health England, Coventry Music has taken the decision to postpone any multi-school or large events that are currently scheduled. This unfortunately includes all the Mornings of Music events, as well as the Big Sing. You will understand we are extremely disappointed to have to take this course of action, but we have to put staff and pupils health and well-being at the forefront of every decision we make. Details of any rescheduled dates will be given at a later date.

Ensemble groups have now also been cancelled until further notice (except for Musical Mixtures which will take place on Tues 17 but not after that date)

Lessons in schools and individual tuition will continue as normal unless we are told differently.

As the situation is changing daily we will keep you informed of any new developments via our website, twitter @coventry_music or if you require an immediate response please call us on 024 7527 0955.

Thank you for your understanding and support at this difficult time, will keep you updated when we have more information, and notify anyone involved as soon as any changes are made.
