The Kick Start programme is aimed for schools who wish to get instrumental tuition started in their school. It is designed to get children interested in playing an instrument and build a desire to continue learning after the programme ends. You can choose from a wide range of instruments, and from either 10 x 30 minute lessons, or 5 x 60 minute lessons. Instrument loan is included in the price. Parents will need to hire the instrument - free of charge - should the child wish to continue with tuition at the end of the project.
“Coventry Music has helped me to establish a flourishing instrumental programme as a truly collaborative effort. We now have an orchestra and a string group that recently gave their first performance and this is testament to the hard work and dedication of the service’s teaching staff.”
Daniel Sanford-Casey, Head of Performing Arts, Lyng Hall School

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the other 2 guys for the session you did for us on Thursday afternoon last week. It was really good and the children had a fab time, you were all great with the young people and you gave the children a really positive experience with all of the instruments. I hope to be able to arrange another session very soon." Amanda Kehoe, Mentoring, Co-ordinator, Coventry Virtual School
"Great interaction from the band with the children [and] just an overall enjoyable experience that we always look forward to each year!" Dave Ryman, Music Co-ordinator, Southfields Primary School
