SoundLab-Cov is our first Centre for Creative Music Making delivered in partnership with Coventry Music, Coventry City Council and Positive Youth Foundation. After a development stage from November 2017, SoundLab-Cov opened in April 2018 and was officially launched on the 10th July 2019 by Julian Lloyd Webber with guest musicians Neville Staple and Christine ‘Sugary’ Staple.

SoundLab is for 10-16 year olds who have a range of musical interests and styles including spoken word, dance, electronic, jazz, classical, and more.
It is open to young people who play an instrument, create digital beats/music and those who sing, rap or create spoken word.
At SoundLab you'll work with a team of professional musicians, with guest artists and performance opportunities across the year.
We meet on Saturdays in school term times as well as intensive days in school holidays. We are currently based at Coventry College (City North building) on Swanswell Street.
Our Saturdays have a morning and afternoon session 10am-12.30pm or 1.30pm-4pm. You can join by signing up via the button below or on the day in person. Please follow the link for dates of which Saturdays we have sessions on.
You need to be aged 10-16 when you start and you can stay till you are 18.
